Yellowstone RV and Auto Repair was created from a life long dream we had. Through our many jobs we each held over the years, we have seen the success stories, the companies that should have succeeded, and the failures. Each of those stories has taught us in some aspect or another, and has brought us to this point in our lives where we can now build our own empire or at the very least, pay our way in life.
Jim’s experience in the automotive, RV world started at an early age, helping his dad work on the family car. He soon found he not only had the abilities, but really enjoyed the work.
In 1981 Jim took a job with an automotive electrical company, learning how the “inter-working” of the cars electrical systems functioned. Rebuilding starters, alternators and generators soon became an art form to him. He found again, he had the knack and it was of great interest to him.
From 1981 to present, Jim has held jobs where he can continue his education of the automotive industry and has used that knowledge to better his talents. The automotive/RV industry is constantly changing and the only way to keep up on those changes is to continue training, says Jim. Take a few minutes to talk to him and you will find that he knows the industry, and better yet knows how to fix it.
Jim is often heard saying, I’m NOT a parts changer. He prefers to find out why it doesn't work and then set himself to the task to make it work.
